sometimes, when it comes to adapting to a new enviroment, its not really easy. It takes time and effort. Life is not about appeasing people but being yourself. Taking a lot of effort would help, but if it does not work it would leave one feeling very down. Therefore, i feel that by being yourself and at the same time, being concerned for the people around you would get you a number of friends.
Someone once told me that she noticed that the more 'popular' people are the ones who are like draw more attention to others than to his/herself, as in like maybe showing concern for other people other than one's ownself. After thinking about that, i found that it was quite true. Although some people gain friends through looks and intelligence too i realize.
If fellow human beings dont really appreciate one's efforts in friendship, i think it might be time to move on to other people, there are others who appreciate...like.. hint hint :P Its just sometimes, some people dont really understand their value though, but its okie :)
Its not easy to know who are my real friends, alththogh i think real friends is actually good friends just that in another word, so if its like that, i think its quite easy to know liao. ok, friends who understands play a part, i personally feel that listening is also a very important part of friendship, because in order to understand, one has to listen. Everyone plays an important role in the lives of their peers. One may not know it, but actully he/she actually does. Therefore, its open the door let people enter your life, dont hide away or dissapear.
Life is about God, who loves us soooo much. He wants us to serve, serve God, serve others, live with a servanthood attitude. Suddenly, i just realized that Jesus came down to this earth not for his own gain, but to serve. ok, actually i know it all long :P If we want to live a life that follows the example of Christ, we should be God-centered, and all that. He is the Prince of Peace and Provider and .... everything. He loves us soo muchly.
